about the work

This container is a place to explore new ways of being in relationship with self, other, and systems you find yourself in.  You will build new habits from experiential awareness, finding meaning and purpose.

Approaching our work through a developmental and attachment lens, we will begin with the most basic intention: total acceptance of all aspects of self. Operating on the premise that acceptance brings us into conscious relationship with the many parts of ourselves needing attention, we will clean up what is in the shadow so that you have more conscious choice about how you relate to others and from there you will shape your life in brand new ways.

I trust fully that the ways we learned to navigate and survive early family and institutional systems were brilliant in those contexts. We must also understand that old ways become limiting over time, rigid and restricting our ability to evolve and connect with what is present today.  This leads to suffering, so we must actively engage in the process of growing up.

The existential foundation of this work defines suffering as part of being human. Because suffering is universal, we will use it as a doorway to connection, collaboration and liberation. Bringing mindful, embodied awareness into relationship with suffering in the here-and-now releases bound-up energy which becomes available for quantum leaps toward contentment and self-mastery.  The invitation in this phase of the work is to wake up.

Finally,  cleansed and fresh, you will be supported to step out into the world and show up authentic and embodied.  In this container you will find a clear mirror to see all of who you are, allowing you the confidence to settle into your authentic vs. conditioned self.  Being acknowledged for who you are and what you have to offer is very different than being seen for what you can do, what you know, or what you have.

In my spare time I am engaged deep in my own work; reclaiming disowned aspects of myself and integration. If not that, then traveling the nooks and canyons of the country, adventuring with my adult children, paddle boarding, skating, yoga, hiking with Lumen Furturkey and Tootsie Pop (the doggos), taking photos….

or just lying face down in the desert 😉
