Megan and Trey | San Francisco City Hall Elopement
Some things just fall hopelessly and perfectly into place. Like love. Megan and Trey were engaged last December and planning a wedding for some time in the future. I don’t know all of the steps that put them on the path to an epic road trip from Oregon all the way through the southern most tip of California and back up for a somewhat spontaneous San Francisco City Hall elopement but we crossed paths for the first time on Tuesday. I captured their sweet and intimate elopement on Thursday, September 13th 2018. What an absolute honor and delight to witness this marriage and capture this intimate love story for all time.
As a wedding photographer, there are weddings that feel easy and spark creativity and joy. Weddings where the chemistry between the couple seems to open up and let you inside of it. Megan and Trey are that couple. Easy going and seemingly delighted just to be on the human journey, they are playful and intimate, soulful, warm and open. The chemistry between these humans people is palpable and I so enjoyed documenting their civil ceremony ritual at City Hall. I was also quite honored to be the official witness to their marriage.
We started the journey with a quick exploration of this magnificent building and then made our way up to get the marriage certificate. Other couples milled about in the halls and it was super sweet to see the wide diversity of marriages taking place all around Megan and Trey. Through it all they stayed intimately connected in their own little bliss bubble. We met in the rotunda for the actual ceremony and then explored most nooks and crannies of the magnificent building together.
A serious and heartfelt thank you to these beautiful humans for allowing me into their sacred day.
